About this packing example
What you enter
Choose a part shape: box, cylinder or sphere. Enter its dimensions and its weight. Then pack a quantity or fill the containers. Under Spacing & rotation, set the gap between parts and the wall and bottom clearance. For a box, you can also allow rotation on the base.
What the result shows
The page compares three prepared box sizes. For each box, it shows the parts that fit and the envelope space used. For the selected box, it shows the layers, the 3D layout, the volume used, the void and the packed and gross weight. You can export the comparison as a PDF. Limits
The example places each part as its bounding box, the rectangular envelope around the shape. The parts stay upright in complete, matching layers. Container weight limits apply, and each run has a part limit. To pack your own parts in your own containers, you need access to the platform.
